LizzoLizzo joined a prog-rock band where she sang as well as played flute. Her family relocated to Denver and she was on her own as she tried to start her career in Houston. Lizzo lived in her car and occasionally slept on the floor of her studio. She also made use of her gym to shower at the fitness center. Lizzo lost her father when she was twenty-one years old. It was a terrible loss for the two of them, because they were extremely close. Following the passing of her father, Lizzo parted from the prog-rock band in the year 2010. Lizzo was able to return to Denver after an infrequent stay in Denver then moved to Minneapolis in 2011 at the request of a friend. Soon she was a part of Minneapolis' music scene. She was part of the girls' group Chalice and GRRRL PRTY. Her debut album Lizzobangers came out on an independent label in 2013.
