Marcia Gay Harden
Marcia Gay Harden is the third of the five siblings who were born to La Jolla on 14 August 1959. Beverly Bushfield was her mother, and Thad Harden who was serving in the military service, was the father. They moved a lotHarden first got interested in the theatre when the family was living in Greece and had attended plays in Athens. Harden was a student at American universities across Europe before returning to the US in 1983, to complete her degree at the University of Texas. She obtained an MFA at NYU and began acting professionally. Even though she had appeared in a film from 1986 in the largely unnoticed The Imagemaker (1986), her first mainstream role that was a part of a TV film roles, was the sultry female fatale of the Coen Brothers' cleverly offbeat tribute to the film of the same name, Miller's Crossing (1990). Harden's stunning portrayal of Verna the mysterious and seductive moll, received positive reviews. Harden thereafter worked steadily in supporting roles, including playing Ava Gardner in Sinatra (1992) A biopic that aired on TV that focused on Frank Sinatra.
