Kristen Anne Bell is an American actress and performer born in 1980. She was born and raised in Huntington Woods Michigan as the daughter of Lorelei Frygier (a nurse) and Tom Bell - a television director. She is an American singer and actress. Her heritage includes Polish (mother) as well as German, English, Irish, and Scottish (father). Kristen discovered her passion for entertainment at an early age. In 1992, she was the first to go to an audition. She was given an appearance in Raggedy Ann And Andy. Bell received an agent who was appointed by her mother at the age 13 and she was subsequently hired as a model in newspapers and television commercials. As well as taking private lessons, she began her acting career in the year 2000. Bell had a minor role that was not credited to her in Polish Wedding (1998), in 1998. Bell went to Shrine Catholic High School, which was where she participated in both the music and drama club. The Wizard of Oz was performed by her high school and she took home the part of Dorothy. Bell attended The Tisch School of the Arts in New York City, where she studied Musical Theatre at the Tisch School of the Arts in New York City. Bell was a graduate in 2001, resigned her studies at the university to play the role Becky as Becky in Tom Sawyer. The same year she appeared in Pootie Tang, but the sequence in which she played the role was removed. This meant that there is only a credit sequence. Bell made her debut in 2002. Bell appeared as a character in The Crucible, a Broadway revival of The Crucible with Liam Neeson as well as Angela Bettis.
